South Ridge is pleased to announce that Marlena Hernandez, 5th Grade, has been selected as our Student of the Month for February. Marlena was nominated by her teacher, Taylor Halland.
Mrs. Halland says, “Marlena's growth throughout the school year is an inspiration to all. She comes to school with a smile on her face each and every day, ready to learn. Marlena is committed to South Ridge's three R's. She exemplifies these traits by being kind to everybody around her, being respectful to both her peers and teachers, participating in class discussions, and doing what she is supposed to the first time around. Marlena's joyful attitude towards learning lifts the mood in the classroom and contributes to a positive environment for all. Marlena's commitment to school, paired with her positive attitude for learning, make her a perfect choice for February's Student of the Month."
