We are excited to officially announce that we are adding Girls Flag Football as a new winter sport at Ridgefield High School!
The WIAA announced this morning that the State Flag Football Championships will be held February 26-27th, which means we can officially start building our season. This is a great opportunity to try something new and represent Ridgefield with pride!
Season: Begins November 16th. State Championship February 26-27th
A few things to note:
One Sport: You can only participate in one sport per season. Your other winter options are basketball, bowling, wrestling and gymnastics, so please keep that in mind when choosing your sport.
No Experience Necessary: Whether you've played football before or have never stepped on a football field, we'd love to have you give it a try!
Coaching: We will be posting the head and assistant coaching positions soon. Once those positions are filled, we will share more information with registered athletes.
Competition: We are expecting to compete against Washougal, Camas, and potentially all four Evergreen School District high schools. We are working on putting together a great schedule and will share more details as they become available.
Gather your friends and get registered! We are excited to get this new program started and can't wait to see our first group of Spudder flag football players take the field!
