Ridgefield School District is currently building Elementary #3, scheduled to open in Fall 2026. With the additional campus, we have the opportunity to reconfigure which grades are served at the elementary level.
Prior to the construction of the Sunset Ridge/View Ridge campus in 2018, elementary schools in Ridgefield served grades Kindergarten - 6th Grade. With the opening of the Sunset/View campus, Ridgefield moved their elementaries to a Kindergarten - 4th Grade model, with a 5th-6th Grade Intermediate school, and maintained the 7th-8th Grade Middle School.
With additional elementary space at Elementary #3, Ridgefield could continue to serve Kindergarten - 4th grade, or could bring 5th grade back to the elementary level. This would shift the middle school to serving 6th - 8th grades.
