We are thrilled to officially welcome our incoming families for the 2026/2027 school year! This is a historic moment for our community as we prepare to open the first new elementary school in the Ridgefield School District in over 60 years.
While our website is still transitioning from "Intermediate" to "Elementary" status this summer, you can find all the essential information for the upcoming year below.

Save the Date — First Look! Back to School Night: Be among the very first to see where the magic happens! Join us on Thursday, August 20th from 5:00 to 6:45 PM as we open the doors of our brand-new elementary school to families for the first time. Come explore the beautiful new classrooms, see the incredible spaces designed for your student's learning adventure, and meet your child's teacher. We can't wait to kick off this historic year at Sunset Ridge!
Schedules & Placements: Teacher assignments will be posted in Skyward in mid-August.
Skyward Access: New account logins will be available in early August. Please ensure your contact info is current to receive ParentSquare alerts.
Transportation: Bus registration through KWRL begins in early August at www.kwrl.org.

First Day of School for 1st-5th Grade is Monday, August 24, 2026
First Day of School for Kindergarten is Thursday, August 27, 2026
Before/After School: Programs are available through Right At School.

We have several special events designed to give our youngest Coyotes a great start:
Enrollment is Open! Visit our Enrollment Page and complete your registrations today.
Kindergarten Camp: August 10th – 13th (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM). Register at ridgefieldsd.org/page/summer-programs.
Basic Skills Assessments will be on Friday, August 14th, Monday, Aug 17th & Tuesday, Aug 18th. You wil receive a registration link once your enrollment is processed.
