RESEARCH

FVRL CONNECT

Digital databases are primary and secondary sources that provide verified and accurate information to students. The databases listed on the Fort Vancouver Regional Library website are reliable and many have citations already made for your students. In addition, these databases are free of questionable content often found on the internet. A FVRL connect card will be needed.

LIBRARY POLICIES

Students in Kindergarten are able to check out one book at a time.

Students in 1st-4th are allowed to check out two books at a time. Please note: At the beginning of the year we start out with one book, then as we learn how to use the library and how to care and return books, we bump it to two books at a time.

Books can be checked out for up to 3 weeks. Students can always come back to the library with a pass to return and check out new books during the week.

If books are overdue, notices are given to students on their library day and an email goes out on Sundays to the primary guardian and student's email. We also send out notices during grading periods. There is no charge for overdue books; however, it is necessary to pay for or replace lost and damaged books. Lost book fines may be paid online or the school office. Please email jubilee.roth@ridgefieldsd.org if you have any questions.

RSD Libraries

The Ridgefield School District libraries’ purpose is two-fold: to instill a life-long love of reading and to create a community of critical thinkers who can efficiently use, evaluate, and produce information in order to be a contributing member of society.
