As we look ahead to the 2026–27 school year, we want to share several leadership updates that will support our continued focus on student learning, school safety, and strong relationships across our district.
Each year, as part of our staffing process, we evaluate where additional support is needed to best serve students and families. The following administrative adjustments reflect that work and are designed to strengthen support at the building level.
At Union Ridge Elementary, we are adding additional administrative support in anticipation of continued strong enrollment. Jenn Johnson, who currently serves as Interim Assistant Principal at Ridgefield High School, will join Union Ridge as Assistant Principal. Ms. Johnson brings experience in early learning, restorative practices, and a deep commitment to supporting students and families.
At View Ridge Middle School, Lindsay McQuiston will transition from her role as Assistant Principal at Ridgefield High School to serve as Assistant Principal at VRMS. Her knowledge of secondary learning, strong instructional background, and understanding of what students need to be successful at the high school level will be an asset as our middle school students prepare for the next step in their academic journey.
At Ridgefield High School, Joannie Jequinto will move into a role based in the RHS Career Center, where she will continue supporting college and career readiness, career and technical education pathways, and community partnerships. This shift allows her to work more directly with students as they explore post-secondary options and future opportunities.
We also want to share that Tiffany Gould, Executive Director of Teaching & Learning, will retire at the end of the 2025–26 school year after 30 years of dedicated service in Ridgefield and the greater Vancouver region. In addition, Jodi Fontyn, Senior Specialist in Employee Services, has announced her retirement. We are deeply grateful for their decades of service and the lasting impact they have had on students and staff across our district.
No changes are being made to our athletics leadership. Brynan Shipley will continue to serve as Athletic Director, supporting athletics and activities at both Ridgefield High School and View Ridge Middle School.
As always, our guiding principle in staffing decisions is to prioritize support closest to students. That includes maintaining strong counseling services across our schools and ensuring each building has the leadership structure necessary to meet student needs.
Administrative transitions are a normal part of a growing district, and every decision is made with one goal in mind: strengthening our schools and supporting student success. We are confident these changes will position us well for the year ahead.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support!
