We want to share several important updates regarding leadership transitions across our schools as we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year.
Ridgefield High School Principal Christen Palmer has accepted a new position outside of the Ridgefield School District and will be leaving her role at the end of June. We are grateful for Principal Palmer’s leadership and dedication to Ridgefield High School over the past eight years, and wish her well in her new endeavors!
To ensure a smooth transition and continued strong leadership across our district, the following appointments have been made for the 2025-2026 school year:
Jeremy Tortora, current RHS Assistant Principal, will serve as Interim Principal at Ridgefield High School.
Jenn Johnson, current View Ridge Middle School Assistant Principal, will serve as Interim Assistant Principal at Ridgefield High School.
Brian Heim, current Union Ridge Elementary School Assistant Principal, has been selected as the new Assistant Principal at View Ridge Middle School (permanent placement).
Christine Fledderjohann, current Interventions & Supports Specialist (LAP/ML) at Union Ridge, will serve as Interim Assistant Principal at Union Ridge Elementary School.
Filling these positions now on an interim basis provides students and staff with stability and continuity in leadership. The district will begin accepting applications for the permanent positions in January 2026, following the same process as this past year, involving staff input, team interviews, and community meet-and-greet sessions.
