Referrals for testing of students to participate in Ridgefield School District’s Highly Capable Program are now being accepted for the 2020-21 school year.  Anyone may refer a student including parents, teachers, other students, and members of the community.

Highly Capable Program services are designed to address the needs of highly capable students in grades K-12.  “K-12 Highly Capable Program Overview” is available on the district website.  It explains the program goals, identification process, service model and the schedule for testing.  Click here to view.  Copies are also available at each Ridgefield school.\r\n

Referral forms are available online from the Highly Capable page on the district’s website at https://www.ridgefieldsd.org/highly-capable-program--2 .  Click on the Referral Form link to download the form.  Referral forms must be returned to the Ridgefield School District no later than Friday, February 7, 2020.\r\n

Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade will be tested in February or March for possible placement in the 2020-21 school year.  Once your student has been scheduled, the date cannot be rescheduled except for a true family emergency or illness.\r\n
