The Ridgefield School District has once again earned a clean audit from the Washington State Auditor’s Office, continuing its record of strong financial management and operational transparency. The audit reviewed the district’s financial statements for the 2023–2024 fiscal year, and accountability compliance with laws and regulations for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 fiscal years. As a result of their review, the State Auditor’s Office found no deficiencies, material weaknesses, or areas of concern.

“We take great pride in maintaining sound financial practices, and this audit reaffirms our commitment to being responsible stewards of public funds,” said Paula McCoy, Ridgefield School District’s Executive Director of Business Services. “Our team works hard to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements while staying focused on what’s most important - supporting our students and schools.”

Each year, the State Auditor’s Office independently examines school district operations to ensure accuracy, accountability, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations. The most recent audit assessed the Ridgefield School District’s financial reporting, internal controls, and use of public resources.

“We are grateful to the State Auditor’s Office and our dedicated Business Services team for their thorough work,” said Superintendent Dr. Jenny Rodriquez. “A clean audit is more than just good news for our district—it’s a reflection of our dedication to ensuring fiscal responsibility and providing increased transparency to the public. We are fully committed to continuing to build the trust of our families, staff, and community.”
