Ridgefield School District is proud to share that Coral Yee has been selected as an honoree for the Washington Library Association’s Secondary School Librarian Award.
This recognition highlights Coral’s exceptional dedication to student learning, collaboration with colleagues, and ongoing professional growth. As part of the 2025–2026 OLLI cohort, Coral continues to invest in her own development while making a meaningful impact across the district.
Serving students and staff across three schools and two libraries, Coral brings a student-centered approach to her work each day. Her efforts to partner with classroom teachers and support high-quality instruction have made a lasting impression on both students and colleagues.
Coral was nominated by a peer who noted her professionalism, leadership, and ability to balance a wide range of responsibilities while maintaining a strong focus on collaboration and learning. The nominator also highlighted Coral’s recent work presenting professional development for teacher-librarians in the Vancouver School District, where her expertise and engaging presentation style stood out.
“Coral’s commitment to students, digital literacy, and library science are commendable,” said Superintendent Dr. Jenny Rodriquez. “This recognition is a reflection of the care, expertise, and leadership Ms. Yee brings to her role each and every day.”
In recognition of her contributions to the profession, Coral will receive a certificate, a complimentary year of Washington Library Association membership, and will be honored at the WLA Conference Awards Luncheon on Saturday, April 18.
Please join us in congratulating Coral Yee on this well-deserved recognition!
