Two Ridgefield High School students were recently recognized for their outstanding achievements at Cascadia Tech Academy, earning some of the organization's highest honors.

Connor Rapp was named a Distinguished Graduate, an award presented to one student in each program area who exemplifies exceptional technical, academic, and professional skills. Distinguished Graduate recipients represent the most accomplished students at Cascadia Tech Academy and are selected through nominations from instructors or program advisory committees.

In addition, Connor Rapp and Nadia Hernandez-Mack were awarded the prestigious Dennis Kampe Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes outstanding seniors who demonstrate excellence in their program area and have plans to continue their education or training in their chosen field. Scholarship recipients are selected by program advisory committees following an interview process.

The Dennis Kampe Scholarship may be used to support students as they pursue post-secondary opportunities, including college, technical school, apprenticeships, books, tuition, or industry-specific tools.

Cascadia Tech Academy is a cooperative career and technical education program serving students from 10 Southwest Washington school districts, including Ridgefield. High school juniors and seniors can apply to one of 20 hands-on programs and earn both high school and college credits while gaining valuable career experience.

Congratulations to Connor and Nadia on these well-deserved honors!
