The Ridgefield Raptors Name the Mascot Contest is now underway! The new WCL team is looking for a suitable name for its mascot and a costume design to go with it and is inviting all Ridgefield students (K-12) to participate.
The winner and runners-up will be announced and recognized at Ridgefield School District Night (TBD), and the winning costume design will be submitted to professionals for final costume design and production. Each qualified contest entry will receive one free ticket to Ridgefield School District Night.
To help students with their contest entries, Community Education will host three FREE workshops. Each workshop will provide the contest rules/guidelines and allow time to get started with the artwork. Students must pre-register to attend. The workshops are scheduled as follows:\r\n
Union Ridge Library: November 27 (3:40-4:30 pm)\r\n
\r\nSouth Ridge Library: November 29 (3:40-4:30 pm)\r\n
\r\nSunset/View Commons: December 4 (2:40-3:30 pm)\r\n
