Dear Ridgefield Families,

\r\n

Yahoo! It is here...the first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year. I am so excited to be writing to you this morning. At this very minute, students across the Ridgefield School District are connecting with staff, seeing old friends, and meeting new ones via an improved virtual learning experience - Ridgefield Remote.  \r\n

\r\n

We are excited to share with you that very soon (possibly as early as next week), the District will be adding additional supports to our Ridgefield Remote. Specifically, we are working in partnership with our classified staff to open a “Homework Hotline” and a “Tech Help” call center. The “Homework Hotline” will be available in the early evening for students in grades K-6. Classified support staff will be available to help answer questions and provide additional guidance for students and parents. The “Tech Help” call center will be open during the school day to support and troubleshoot minor tech hiccups. \r\n

\r\n

Earlier today, we shared more good news...the District’s waiver was approved to continue serving meals to all children ages 0-18 impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  \r\n

\r\n

School pickup sites are:\r\n

\r\n
  • Union Ridge Elementary (Building B) - Monday-Friday, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm\r\n
  • Sunset Ridge/View Ridge campus - Monday-Friday, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm\r\n
\r\n

Students do not need to be present at pickup, and families can pick up meals for all their students at one time at either site.\r\n

\r\n

We would love to see your “first-day” photos. Tag them with #RidgefieldSchoolSpirit and #RidgefieldFirstDay.     \r\n

\r\n

Thank you for your continued support. Stay well and remain #RidgefieldResilient.\r\n

\r\n

Sincerely,

\r\n
