Each year, Identity Clark County recognizes one staff member and one volunteer from each local education system as a “Learn Here Hero” for their outstanding contributions to students, schools, and the community. Ridgefield School District is proud to celebrate one of this year’s honorees, Ms. Stephanie Goad.
Since joining Ridgefield School District in 2018 as the inaugural Assistant Principal for Sunset Intermediate School and View Ridge Middle School, Ms. Goad has made a lasting impact through her leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to students and staff.
Stephanie brings a deep and diverse educational background to her work. From her early career as a preschool teacher to specialized experience supporting students with autism, she has served in a wide range of roles, including elementary teacher, teacher supporting students receiving special education services, and K–4 reading intervention specialist. This breadth of experience gives her a unique “360-degree” perspective on education and allows her to thoughtfully support the many needs of students and families across the district.
Known for her “do whatever it takes” mentality, Stephanie is a steady and dependable leader who helps ensure school operations run smoothly while always keeping students at the center of every decision. In addition to her work in schools, she also volunteers on the Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation Board, helping advocate for resources and opportunities that benefit students and staff throughout the district.
Stephanie has also been an important leader in Ridgefield’s districtwide Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) work. She is widely respected for her calm, solution-focused leadership style and her ability to navigate even the most challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and kindness. Families and colleagues alike value her thoughtful approach, supportive nature, and willingness to help others without seeking recognition.
While she is often the first to deflect praise, Stephanie exemplifies the Ridgefield School District’s core values of integrity, kindness, and collaboration. Her quiet leadership and student-centered focus continue to positively impact our schools and community every day.
