The View Ridge Middle School band is enjoying another successful year of performances at events and competitions. Several members of the middle school band were also selected for two different region-wide honor bands.

The Lower Columbia River Music Educators Association (LCRMEA) requires students to audition for positions in its Honor Band, selecting only students with the top performances across the entire region. Members of the Honor Band rehearse together for a one-time concert performance. This year, three students from VRMSl were selected for the LCRMEA Honor Band: Aiden Nohrenberg, Isaiah McCaw, and Sophie Pierson.

The North County Honors Band is comprised of some of the top student musicians in Clark County. Each member has been recommended by a band teacher, selected on the basis of their ability and achievements. Students are chosen from seven high schools and 14 middle schools across the region. This is the eighth annual event for the North County Honors Band, but this is the first time since 2020 that they were able to perform together in person.
