Dear View Ridge Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope your summer has provided time to recharge, connect with family and friends, and enjoy some well-earned fun. We are incredibly excited to welcome our students and families back to View Ridge Middle School—and, for the first time, welcome our 6th graders into the Heron community!
This year marks an exciting new chapter for View Ridge as we bring together our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. While there will certainly be new opportunities ahead, we are equally excited to continue the traditions that make View Ridge special—from building a strong sense of community and belonging to celebrating our Class of 2031 as they walk across the stage at 8th Grade Promotion this spring.
At the center of it all is our commitment to preparing every student for high school and beyond. We will continue to hold high expectations for our students while providing the academic support, enrichment, relationships, and experiences they need to grow and succeed.
That success also begins with being ready to learn each day. We take seriously the habits students develop during middle school and ask for your partnership in making sure students arrive well-rested and prepared with the tools they need—including their binder, planner, and Yondr pouch. These simple routines make a meaningful difference in a student's ability to have a successful day.
Middle school is about much more than academics. Through Advisory, WEB, athletics, activities, clubs, music, arts, and the many experiences that happen throughout the year, we want students to build relationships, discover new interests, and find their place within our school community.
Thank you for trusting us with your kids and for being our partners in their education. There is so much to look forward to this year, and we cannot wait to have our halls filled with Herons again!
