The 1st grade team at South Ridge Elementary recently hosted a Family Math Game Night, and what a night it was! With the enthusiastic support of over 90 families, the event was a resounding success.
Families gathered together for an evening filled with fun and learning as they engaged in various math games. From counting to addition and beyond, there was something for everyone to enjoy. But the excitement didn't end there! Each family left with math games and materials, generously provided by SRES' amazing Parent Teacher Association.
Why the focus on math play, you might ask? Well, research shows that it's crucial for student success! The 1st grade team at South Ridge is dedicated to providing substantial and enjoyable opportunities for practice in school and at home. By bringing families together for a night of math-filled fun, South Ridge Elementary is not only strengthening mathematical skills but also fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.
