The Ridgefield School District will be providing a Summer Learning Recovery Program for students currently in grades K-8. The academy’s theme is "Let the Learning Begin!" Summer Olympics 2021 and will take place July 19th through August 6th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The program will be taught by certified teachers and will focus on reading and mathematics to address learning loss.

Participating students will be given a lunch to take home. COVID protocols will be followed including social distancing, face masks and daily wellness screeners. Attendance for all 15 days of the program is required to maximize productivity.

There will be many fun and engaging incentives for our participating students, including in-house celebrations centered around our Summer Olympics theme. There will be two Fridays with an optional, on-campus field trip experience that will occur into the afternoon. The last Friday will showcase a Summer Olympics Field Day at the RORC.

Those interested in having their K-8 students participate in the Summer Learning Academy can start the process by completing this Google Form (link) no later than Monday, May 17th. The form is also available in Spanish (link) and Russian (link)

Please note that completing the survey does not guarantee a spot at the Summer Learning Academy. Spots will be filled based on demand, with students most in need of academic support receiving priority. Next week, we will reach out to families to confirm their student’s spot in the Summer Learning Academy.
